Panasonic introduces premium laundry solution: Care+ Edition front load washing machines

MANILA, Philippines — In its continuous endeavors in keeping wellness in mind, Panasonic once again makes headlines in home care with the launch of its latest premium front-load washing machines and washer dryers under the CARE+ Edition, designed to keep everyday wear clean and hygienic for better wellbeing.

Extending its brand promise of "Caring for your well-being,” CARE+ Edition of washing machines and washer dryers are Panasonic’s sophisticated laundry solution, blending form and function that takes the worry and hassle out of clothing care from washing to drying.

Since inventing the first line of washing machines in the 1950s, Panasonic is not only recognized for liberating homeowners from lengthy laundry chores but also distinguished for creating hygiene solutions that eliminate bacteria and mold whilst protecting clothes from damage and shrinkage.

Today, as the fast-paced lifestyle of double-incomed working professionals calls for a convenient and quick solution to further simplify the laundry process, Panasonic has responded by incorporating a nifty Dry Assist function into the conventional washing machines.

“The most essential function of a washing machine is to remove stains, but our world and needs have since evolved, making bacteria-free and fast-drying laundry a prerequisite for every household. From our findings, we know that hygiene & drying are the highest priorities for Asians and many would opt for a washer that not only cleans but also eliminates bacteria with smart convenience functions,” said Yasushi Kondo, president of Panasonic Philippines.

“With the CARE+ Edition washer dryer or washing machine with Dry Assist, we assure users that their laundry and family’s well-being is well taken care of,” he added.

Panasonic’s CARE+ Edition features two new flagship models: Front Load Washing Machine and Front Load Washer Dryer. Both are designed with hygiene and drying convenience in mind.

Total hygiene care

When it comes to cleanliness, ensuring that clothes are hygienically laundered is a multi-step process methodically devised using Panasonic proprietary technologies. Across all CARE+ Edition washing machines and washer-dryers, hygiene starts from the wash process where users can opt between hygiene cold wash or hygiene hot wash.

For cold washes, the BlueAg+ function (applicable to FR1 Series) works to eliminate up to 99.99%*¹ of bacteria through a combination of UV light and silver ions. This technology, which is unique to Panasonic, saves energy and is more suitable for delicate fabrics since not all laundry materials can be washed with hot water.

For hot washes, Panasonic’s StainMaster+ on the other hand works to remove stains and allergens, mites and 99.99%*² bacteria using temperatures of 60°C to 90°C.

Hygiene care also includes tub cleaning to prevent the growth of mold and detergent residue. Auto Tub Care memorizes the selected wash settings and then automatically washes the drum with the matching settings to keep the tub clean. The special Tub Clean feature allows users to wash the tub with warm water at 40°C to prevent mold growth for optimal cleanliness.

Unique drying technology

Asians have shared that their usual laundry process sometimes takes too long and revealed that at times their clothes still smell bad after washing. In rainy months, drying clothes naturally can take longer than usual and if the clothes are exposed to dirty air when they are hung dry, they can smell musty and invite bacterial growth.

Panasonic’s CARE+ Edition Front Load Washing Machine is equipped with a Dry Assist function through the Hybrid Dry Lite technology. This function is exclusively available in the washing machine-only variant and is especially useful during bad weather and urgent drying needs.

Dry Assist dries the laundry through the promotion of airflow through the door inlet via drum rotation, where it is then heated with a 300W heater. This function is offered in three modes—Lite Dry, Finish Dry and Hygiene Dry, which users can choose for urgent laundry drying, shortening hang dry time or enhancing bacteria and odor elimination.

The CARE+ Edition Front Load Washer Dryer, on the other hand, comes with Gentle Dry, a new drying mechanism comprising of a unique door design with a precise slanted airway that allows the air inside the washer dryer to cool down with the atmospheric air.

This condenser drying-type method also uses a heat dissipator located around the drum to further allow the hot air circulating inside to drop to a lower temperature. This helps ensure clothes do not shrink and damage easily.

The convenience of AI smart wash

In keeping with a digitalized time and in line with the brand’s overall sustainability efforts, Panasonic equipped its CARE+ Edition with AI Smart Wash which has a combination of four high-tech intelligent sensors to automatically detect laundry load, water level, water temperature and drum vibration. This feature benefits the user by maximizing washing performance and optimizing the consumption of water, time and energy.

With AI Smart Wash, users can experience 9%*³ better washing, 48%*⁴ water saving, 36%*⁴ time saving and a whopping 74%*⁴ energy saving. It is also incredibly easy to use and anyone in the family, including children, can help with the laundry.

The CARE+ Edition washing machines and washer dryers come with a Panasonic Smart App+ that connects the washer/dryer to the user’s smartphone for ease of access anywhere, anytime.

Created in response to consumers’ busy schedules and to offer users a smart laundry experience in today’s digital lifestyles, the Panasonic Smart App+ turns the smartphone into a remote control, allowing users to receive notifications on completed laundry as well as operate and check on washing status.

The app is further able to memorize settings for different usage and link users to maintenance notifications and error support for ease of ownership.

The CARE+ Edition washing machines and washer-dryers bring the perfect balance of functionality and aesthetics for spatial harmony, inspiring wellness in the space we live.

These new models showcase an iconic door design and a tilted floating control panel with slider touch sensing for better usability. In terms of capacity, users can choose between 10.5-9.5kg washer + 6kg dryer and 10.5-9.5kg for the washing machine model. Both variants are available in Black and White.

The CARE+ Edition is now available at all Panasonic retail partners’ physical and online stores.
