Traders Hotel hosts ‘Ever After’ wedding fair

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -Traders Hotel, Manila and the Company of Brides hosted its first bridal fair called “Ever After, A Wedding Affair” on Sept. 28. The event was held at the hotel’s newly renovated Embassy Ballroom and function rooms and a gala fashion show was held in the evening.

It featured creative wedding specialists and event suppliers that showcased the latest details in bridal themes, floral designs, wedding gowns, invitations, cake creations, entertainment, souvenirs and everything else needed in planning a dream wedding.

Cake Concepts displayed a 15-foot-high, 16-layered wedding cake along the grand staircase, welcoming guests to the event. Fun-filled and entertaining activities were held throughout the day, including innovative features, interviews and demonstrations, and talks on bridal and wedding essentials.

Professionals from Traders Hotel, Manila and Makati Shangri-La, Manila covered Tips on Wedding Menu Preparation and Wine Pairing; Company of Brides’ Marichelle Ligon talked about Essentials on Your Dream Day; Benny Bondoc of Behind the Lens, Chiw Baylon of Invitation Etiquette and Zenas Pineda of Flower Power presented “Picture Perfect Your Wedding Day,” and beauty columnist Isabel Roces talked about “Beauty and Beyond Before I Do,” and Shu Uemura’s Kat Del Rosario for “Radiance and Rituals.”

Traders Hotel GM Gordon Aeria and Miss Universe Canada Riza Santos opened the evening’s main event — a cake-cutting ceremony of the 15-foot wedding cake at the lobby.

The much-awaited bridal fashion show directed by Robby Carmona was held at the newly renovated Embassy Ballroom.  The show featured a three- to five-piece collection from the Philippines’ top designers, namely, Nino Angeles, Lya Armovit, Bergamo, JC Buendia, Pablo Cabahug, Hilque Dario, Frankie De Leon, Frederick Peralta, Michelle Sison and Mark Tamayo.  The Philippine Madrigal Singers also performed.

To end the evening, the hotel gave away special wedding prizes to several guests and lucky brides, including two-night stays at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila; Makati Shangri-La, Manila; and Shangri‑La Hotel, Chiang Mai, as well as honeymoon destinations to Shangri-La’s Mactan Island Resort & Spa, Cebu; Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu; and Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa, Yanuca Island, Fiji.
