Freeway’s summer 2012 collection brings you another innovative collaboration with swimwear designer Twinkle Ferraren. The Freeway x Twinkle Ferraren 2012 Swimwear Collection features her Hand Woven collection, with intelligently handwoven strips of swimsuit fabric to create the sexy, fun and daring attitude of the summer season. Described by Ferraren as “feminine in action,” the collection features hand-woven braids, weave designs and appliqués in sporty, active silhouettes with a hint of feminine detail.
Her inspiration for the collection was the great talent and passion of our local weavers, and their highly intricate patterns. With a keen understanding of what women want, the collection does not sacrifice style and femininity for function. “More and more women are now getting into sports, being active and keeping healthy through dance, sports and water activities,” Ferraren says. “It’s great to see some feminine details in what we wear, most especially in swimwear.”
Meanwhile, Ensembles’ spring/ summer 2012 collections are a very mod, vibrant take on delicate florals and sheer and light fabrics. The collection features items such as sheer maxi dresses and flirty floral prints. Solo’s summer 2012 collection features a wide range of beach essentials: mix-and-match bikinis in fun styles and vibrant colors, functional cover-ups, board shorts and basic tanks and swim shorts.
