'Strava reveal': Agot Isidro, Jake Ejercito react to Bato dela Rosa running video

MANILA, Philippines — Even stars are tuned in to the dramatic and action-packed return of senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa to the Senate.
Bela Padilla, Jake Ejercito, and Agot Isidro all posted their thoughts on the events unfolding at the Senate since Monday when the senator showed up after a five-month absence since November 2025.
Dela Rosa was present when the upper house voted to replace Vicente "Tito" Sotto III with Alan Peter Cayetano as senate president. He also appeared on the day of impeachment proceedings of vice president Sara Duterte.
These events triggered said stars, who are seasoned in portraying drama as part of their job description, to vent their frustration, ire and disappointment that followed right after Bato's reappearance.
Bela reacted to a video that went viral online in which Bato appeared to be shouting at a female reporter who asked about his return to the Senate.
“So many questions. (First), who gave that man the right to shout at a woman calmly asking him questions that are valid,” Bela wrote on her Instagram story.
“Yes, we’d like to know. lkaw na nga nagsabi na sumusweldo ka. So nasaan ka recently? Sumusuweldo ka ng hindi ka pumapasok, okay ba yun?
“(Second), why so hysterical? Calm down. Did you come to work today to finally do some good work today, sir?”
Bela, who also writes some of her movies, also welcomed Bato's return to the Senate after a long absence from his job as a public servant.
“I was in the (emergency room) the other day but I still rushed to work immediately after. And I’m not even important," she said.
“Aren’t senators important? Don’t their decisions affect millions of lives? So their wages being high is justified. But if they don’t come to work, what happens?” the actress pointed out.
Meanwhile, actor Jake Ejercito, from the popular Estrada-Ejercito political clan and a half-brother of senators Jinggoy and JV, had a one-liner punch line that many saw as his reaction to the now viral chase scene between Bato and agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The agents were reportedly preparing to hand the arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“Strava reveal naman diyan, sen,” he wrote on Facebook, referencing a popular running app that monitors the wearer's daily number of steps.

Actress Agot Isidro boldly expressed her anger against the 13 senators who voted to oust Sotto as senate president.
Sotto's replacement was Cayetano, who immediately accepted the position amid the heated debate regarding the impeachment case of vice president Sara Duterte.
Agot called out the 13 senators who voted for Cayetano.
“I have ducking NO respect for these 13 hooligans who call themselves Senators of the Philippines. DUCK YOU,” Agot said.
Agot also reacted to Bato's CCTV video running away from the NBI agents.
"Just saw the CCTV. We have a runner!!! #BatoDuwag.”
