RP's tallest mixed-use building unveiled

-

MANILA, Philippines - Federal Land Inc. announces the launch of a large-scale landmark development through the formal project unveiling of The Grand Hyatt Hotel at the New Central Business District of Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Rising on an expansive 1.5-hectare of prime land, this development promises to be the first and only premium-category hotel in the country that will further enhance the cosmopolitan reputation of The Fort’s New Central Business District. Upon completion, it will also become one of the tallest and biggest mixed-use buildings in the country.

At 66-story-high and being 100,000 square meters above ground, The Grand Hyatt Hotel will be comparable to the iconic structures of modern countries and cities like the US, Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong and Japan. The first six floors will house the hotel podium and ballroom, while Grade A financial and corporate offices will occupy the eighth to the 30th floors. The new development will also offer premium facilities and services, with the luxury suites and other hotel amenities to be housed from the 30th to the penthouse levels.

President Benigno S. Aquino III is guest of honor and keynote speaker in this occasion, where he will discuss his administration’s support for investments in the country’s flourishing real estate and tourism industries.

President Aquino will be joined by Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, Department of Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim, Metrobank Group chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty, Grand Hyatt Manila chairman Alfred V. Ty, and Grand Hyatt Manila vice chairman Francisco C. Sebastian.

The unveiling of The Grand Hyatt Hotel is seen to help boost the Philippines’ image and add prestige to its business environment, which is currently experiencing robust growth. Its completion will likewise serve as a clear manifestation of investor confidence in the country, specifically in the aspects of tourism and finance. This confidence also reiterates the country’s positioning as a haven for safety and security.

From another ordinary hotel, the Grand Hyatt Hotel will be a triple WOW hospitality development with five aces, the signature elements of Grand Hyatt, which include dramatic and energetic lobby environments, innovative dining options, state of the art technology, spa and fitness centers, and comprehensive business and meeting facilities.

In terms of advancements and innovations, the project will enable technology transfer and present to neighboring countries the Philippines’ position as a destination as a six-star accommodations. The Grand Hyatt Hotel is designed by renowned architectural firm of Wong & Ouyang HK, with Casas Architects and British firm Ove Arup as the structural designer.

Finally, the completion of The Grand Hyatt Hotel is being envisioned to further bolster tourism prospects and investment opportunities, considering the brand’s inclusion under the topmost tier of quality hotel category. The development will also provide quality jobs to a significant number of qualified Filipinos.
