A perfect de-stressing weekend at Loreland

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city life and have a short getaway at a place that will provide you everything that you desire to do on a weekend.

Set on the soaring mountains of Antipolo City is Loreland Farm Resort and Spa, a one-stop destination which offers amenities that allow its guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors after a very busy week.

Being located in Antipolo which is just about an hour away from Metro Manila, this resort is far enough for you not to be bothered by your everyday worries and still accessible enough not to consume many hours of travel. Truly make your weekend fuss-free and have a good stay at the resort’s affordable rooms built to accommodate guests from solo adventurers to big families.

Plunge into each of the resort’s nine pools and stand into the fun of doing outdoor activities that you can only dream of doing while inside the office. Aside from the pools that you can enjoy unlimitedly, there are also ziplines, playgrounds, sports and recreational areas, and paved paths that guests can freely trek on. The paved paths also pass by the resort’s very own Station of the Cross and mini chapel, allowing guests to take a break from the physical activities to tune into a spiritual reflection.

Also found on this eight-hectare property is Camp Tipolo Adventureland, an ideal site for team building and other events that require the free setting outdoors. Bond with your companions over the camp’s featured activities like the Tight Rope, Balancing Log, Tarzan Jump, Low Rope Courses, Mud Crawl, and Mud Slide.

And while in the resort, grab a bite of the specialties at Verde Restaurant, most of which are made of ingredients grown from the resort’s very own farm. In the morning, try a distinct breakfast of Mango and Green Tea-infused Pancake or try the restaurant’s take on the familiar French Toast Fusion dipped in milk, coated with egg and dusted with powder sugar.

For lunch and dinner, reward yourself with specialties like the Buffalo Chicken Wings — marinated chicken wings coated with special batter, served with aioli, barbecue and sweet chili sauce. And because the resort is all for healthy living, it offers special alternatives for those who are trying to veer away from the temptations of calories: Gourmet greens filled with lettuce, quesong puti, cherry tomatoes, mandarin oranges, and herbed with balsamic vinaigrette; Veggie Sandwiches with thinly sliced aubergine, cucumber, bell pepper, tomato and carrots spread with garlic pesto sauce in toasted baguette; Tuna Pesto Pasta, which is al dente spaghetti topped with healthy combinations of tuna, pesto, grilled tomato and garlic; and Chinese Soy Chicken, a satisfying serving of rice topped with steamed chicken and served with its special ginger soya sauce.

Watch out for more health goodness on a plate to be served at the resort’s newest food hub and the only perched garden restaurant of its kind in the whole country — the Loreland Hanging Gardens Restaurant — set to operate on full swing this year.

Finally, invigorate all your stressed-out senses at the Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa. Surrounded by lush trees and landscaped gardens, and overlooking Laguna de Bay and Metro Manila, the spa through its backdrop alone can already give you the best kind of relaxation that most spas in the city can only try so much to recreate.

Have the best pampering experience with the spa’s facilities like the heated jacuzzi, sauna, hydro massage, infinity pool, Dr. fish spa and lounges with the best view day and night — all for incredibly reasonable rates.

The spa has an ongoing promo at P500 which entails guests to a choice of 45-minute foot spa and one-hour body massage; five-hour stay at Phase 1 of Spa which includes the use of amenities like sauna, heated Jacuzzi, infinity pool and Dr. fish spa, or a consumable amount of food at Verde Restaurante to be served at the Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens.

Another promo is the Hanging Gardens Retreat, which offers at P930 per person a relaxing seven-hour stay at the spa, inclusive of welcome drink, heated Jacuzzi, sauna, hydro massage, infinity pool, Dr. fish spa, shower, locker room, and access to lounges.

Yet a different package from the spa is called the Hanging Gardens Getaway, which offers at P1,500 per person the same amenities as the Hanging Gardens Retreat, plus two snacks and lunch or dinner served at the spa.

The spa’s setting is inspired by tropical and Asian interiors and landscapes, and for such an ambience it has also become a favorite venue for both intimate gatherings and grand events. Other parts of the resort can also hold functions and can offer catering services all year round.

Loreland Farm Resort is located in Sitio Loreland, Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City. To know more about the resort’s other services, call 696-0101 to 03, 622-8779, 0917-8352000, 0908-8734220 or 0932-8857351, e-mail at inquiry@loreland.com.ph or visit www.loreland.com.ph.
