Rachy Cuna in DesignTalks at Ayala Museum

MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Museum presents Rachy Cuna, the floral architect of the Philippines, in its popular DesignTalks series on Oct. 13, 3:30 p.m.

The stylist famous for his whimsical floral creations will give a lecture on his design process and inspiration. The program will then proceed to a workshop on gift-wrapping for all occasions, in time for the upcoming holidays.

Rachy Cuna’s life mission is to incorporate local arts and culture, traditions and heritage, as well as the Filipino way of life into his work.

Cuna has shown his artistic prowess through pieces in the National Museum and numerous topnotch hotels and lifestyle hotspots.

Admission to the talk is P125 for students, P200 for teachers, senior citizens and Ayala Museum members, and P300 for adults. To take part in the workshop, there is an additional fee of P250. Materials will be provided.

And for adults wanting to tap their inner artistry, Ayala Museum offers an introductory acrylic workshop with professional painter and art educator Aaron Bautista.

The sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on the following dates: Oct. 9, 16, 23, Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4. The fee is P5,000 for Ayala Museum members and P6,000 for nonmembers, inclusive of workshop materials. Registration is ongoing until Oct. 6.

Neo-Angono artist Aaron Bautista graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts and has had his work showcased in more than 25 exhibitions. He has conducted numerous art workshops and has actively participated in Art Festivals in and out of his hometown, recognized as the art capital of the Philippines.
