Hurt by Heart? Pia Wurtzbach prevented from answering query about Heart Evangelista

Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo -

MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was prevented from answering a question about fellow actress Heart Evangelista.

During last week's sit-down interview with Pia following L’Oreal Paris’ “Sayang? No, I’m worth it” campaign launch in Manila for which she was among the endorsers, asked Pia about being pitted against Heart Evangelista, whose former glam team now works with the beauty queen and even accompanied her at the L'Oreal launch.

Pia and Heart also both attended the recent Milan Fashion Week, with both of them gracing the Fendi fashion show. It is unknown, however, if the two met or spoke at the Fendi event.

But even before finished asking the question during the L'Oreal Paris sit-down interview, Pia's handlers told that it was forbidden to ask about Heart.

Pia was also mum after she was prevented from answering the query, and she simply smiled.

At the event's program prior to the group interview, Pia hinted in her speech of what people say about her attending more fashion weeks lately and becoming a fashion influencer.

"May mga bago na naman akong naririnig, 'Hindi ka bagay d'yan. Beauty queen ka lang. Stay in your lane. Sayang ka," she said.

It can be recalled that the alleged rift between Pia and Heart allegedly began when Heart's former glam team joined the beauty queen's entourage.

In an Instagram live session, Heart mentioned about a certain person who allegedly stole her contacts to enjoy the perks she worked hard for in Europe.

Last February, Heart shared a cryptic post insinuating that someone unauthorized was making decisions on her behalf in regard to her fashion week attendance.

Before Pia, Heart was among L'Oreal's brand ambassadors. The socialite and the international beauty brand even collaborated for a lipstick collection.

Heart, L'Oreal Philippines told, is no longer an endorser, but the label is open to work again with her for future campaigns.

Pia, together with actress Iza Calzado-Wintle, are part of L’Oreal Paris’ new Philippine campaign “Sayang? No, I’m worth it,” which aims to serve as a wake-up call for anyone who still refuses to recognize that all types of women are worth it, no matter their choices and aspirations in life — turning every “Sayang ka..” into “Sayang? No, I’m worth it.” — Photo from Fendi/Released; Video by Deni Bernardo; additional video editing by Martin Ramos, Anjilica Andaya
