'Viva España!' at Rustan's
MANILA, Philippines - Spain has cast such a wide influence on art, dance, cinema, cuisine, music and fashion, with the rest of the world marveling at this country’s overflowing passions. The Philippines, for one, still bears traces of the Spanish way of life. In celebration of these influences, Rustan’s — together with La Camara, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and in cooperation with Allied Bank — presents “Viva España!” which will have its opening cocktails tomorrow led by Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Luis Arias-Romero and the members of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
“Viva España!” is a 10-day celebration of Spanish heritage and tradition, showcasing products from Spain, including apparel, food, and other luxury labels housed in Rustan’s.
Rustan’s shares the different stories of Spain. Starting tomorrow until Oct. 24, there will be a showcase of Spanish food and merchandise. Spanish fashion and lifestyle brands will be featured in a fashion show on Oct. 19 with participating labels from Stores Specialists Inc. such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Springfield. Other participating brands on display include exquisite figurines and home accents from Lladro and Nao, jewelry by Noah Barcelona and Mojorica, scents from Hierbas de Ibiza and Gotas de Oro, footwear from Castaner and Spanish fans, handkerchiefs and a selection of accessories for men and women from Abanicos, Folgado, Abanicos Carbonell, Guasch, and El Casco.
“Viva Espana!” also rewards the loyal customers of Rustan’s with gifts. A single-receipt purchase (of items on display) worth P6,000 includes a free bottle of Spanish wine. Customers who use their Allied Bank credit card in purchasing P5,000 worth of goods will get a free bottle of wine.
Rustan’s also gives away gift certificates for a three-day/two-night stay at Punta Fuego. For every purchase worth P3,000 from any of Rustan’s participating Spanish brands — including Zara, Massimo Dutti and Springfield — customers are entitled to one raffle coupon. Allied Bank cardholders get to drop off their entries at the Allied Bank raffle box for more chances of winning.
There will be a wine-tasting workshop at Rustan’s Makati’s East Café, second floor, on Oct. 22 and 23. There will also be discussions on Spanish cuisine with cooking demonstrations at Rustan’s Makati on Oct. 16 and 21. Raffle winners will be drawn on Oct. 25.
