Through thick and thin eyebrows

dear lucy,
I have very thick and bushy eyebrows. I have been to different salons and hairdressers for eyebrow waxing or threading, but my problem is I can’t seem to find one who can do it right. It’s either they make my brows too thin or they don’t do it evenly. Could you suggest a place where they have true professionals who do this sort of thing so I could avoid eyebrow trimming disasters?

Her name is Novi and she works at Hairworks salon, located at the ground floor of bsa Tower, 108 Legazpi Street, Legaspi Village, Makati. The numbers to call are 888-4817 and 888-4819. She rescued me from going through life with mismatched eyebrows! You’ll be surprised to find what a difference nicely-shaped brows can make. See her asap.

Do you know where I can buy skincare ingredients like shea butter, beeswax, epsom salts, essential oils, carrier oils, and the like plus jars and containers? I’m interested in making my own natural bath and body spa but don’t know where to get these ingredients.

A lot of these skincare ingredients are available at L’Occitane at Rustan’s Essenses and The Body Shop in major malls as well as Healthy Options, a leading natural products store, with branches all over Metro Manila and in Pampanga and Cebu. The local shea butter is available also at L’Occitane and at Ever Bilena in Shoemart and other department stores. As for the jars and containers, you can find a lot of these in all shapes and sizes at Watsons, PCX, and the cosmetics section of SM. Have fun creating your own bath and body spa!
