RC Cola Raiders display unity

MANILA, Philippines - At the 2013 Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Grand Prix, a dark horse that displayed full potential for further success in the pioneering professional Filipino volleyball league was the RC Cola Raiders, under the helm of head coach Ronald Dulay.

This is the second venture of ARC Refreshments Corporation, the licensed bottler of RC Cola, in supporting local sports talent. In 2012, it provided support to a cycling team competing in Ronda Pilipinas. With the RC Cola Raiders at the PSL, ARC has found another venue to bring its brand closer to the public while helping Philippine women’s volleyball flourish.

“Our brand’s history in the Philippines is built on having something good to offer and also having the audacity to strive beyond what we believe we can accomplish despite great odds. We see this spirit in the women of the RC Cola Raiders,” said ARC executive vice president and COO Gerry T. Garcia.

The PSL is the first professional volleyball league in the country founded in 2013 mainly seen to provide former collegiate players an arena in which to continue their sports careers.
