Weekend-to-do: Binibini parade, cat adoption drive, int'l comics fest

MANILA, Philippines — It is expected to be a wet weekend, but the activities lined up for the following two days are as bountiful as the anticipated downpour.
A parade of Binibining Pilipinas 2026 delegates, a festival for comics enthusiasts, and a highly anticipated travel fair are among the activities lined up for this weekend.
Parade of beauties
Pageant fans can head to the Araneta Center in Cubao to catch a glimpse of their favorite contestant at this year’s Binibining Pilipinas 2026.
The 35 delegates representing different provinces of the country will be waving and interacting with their fans a week before the grand coronation night on July 18 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Open comics festival
For the first time, the Philippine International Comics Festival (PICOF) is set as an open festival giving free access to attendees to its slew of activities.
From July 10 to 12, artists and comic book lovers and collectors can look forward to the latest releases of comics, graphic novels, and other original works. The three-day festival held at the Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig City will also feature comics market, exhibits, masterclasses, book talks and live drawing events.
Travel Madness Expo
Score airfare deals and discounts at the ongoing Travel Madness Expo at Halls 1 to 4 of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from July 10 to 12.
Over 179 exhibitors are participating in this year’s festival, with new participating destinations including Georgia, Czech Tourism, and Papua New Guinea, alongside returning exhibitors from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Guam.
Tickets are priced at P100 for the general public and P70 for students, PWD and senior citizens.
