Carla Abellana says Tom Rodriguez remains ‘special’ to her

MANILA, Philippines – Carla Abellana said that Tom Rodriguez is still “special” to her.

The two have been linked since they worked together in the defunct GMA primetime show “My Husband’s Lover.”

“Lagi naman namin sinasabi na special kami sa isa’t isa,” she said during the press conference of their film “No Boyfriend Since Birth” on Tuesday.

The Kapuso actress also doesn’t want to rush things between them, despite having been exclusively dating for over a year.

“Lahat ng bagay may tamang panahon,” she explained. “Basta naniniwala ako na lahat perfect timing, ‘yan ‘yong oras na binigay ni God, so dapat in God’s time. Hindi mangyayari ‘yon sa panahon na ‘yan kung hindi ‘yan ‘yong meant.”

She may feel it’s not yet the right time for them, but Carla said she sees and appreciates the efforts of Tom to win her heart.

“Wala pa ang tamang panahon, tamang panahon para sa amin. Hindi ko mahuhulaan kung kalian ang tamang panahon,” she said.

“Pero kung dumating man ‘yon ready na ako. Basta ready ako ‘pag dumating ‘yon,” she added.

For now, Carla is happy that she was able to work again with Tom in the Regal Films movie “No Boyfriend Since Birth,” to be in cinemas on November 11.

They last worked last year in the film “So It’s You.”
