Stylish escape to CEBU

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu is one of the places in the country that never fails to enchant. With its breathtaking beaches, amazing culture and cuisine, colorful history and friendly locals, Cebu is a traveler’s paradise.

Any experience becomes even more magical when luxuriously spent with friends in no less than a five-star resort and spa — and this was the idea behind Regatta’s Traveluxe Campaign.

Drawing insights from travel and luxury, Regatta brought two lucky winners of its Escape to Luxury promo to Cebu. Tessie Mortejo and Katrina Feliciano experienced a fun, lavish and, of course, stylish getaway together with two of their friends. Joining in all the action was TV personality Cliff Ho.

“Escape to Luxury was our way of showcasing Regatta’s strong affinity with fun, luxurious and stylish journeys. Our classic, comfy and chic pieces perfectly complemented each activity that Tessie, Katrina and their friends enjoyed in Cebu. Whether they were enjoying a sumptuous dinner or exploring Cebu’s tourist hot spots, they all looked and felt good courtesy of pieces from our Traveluxe collection,” says Regatta brand manager Carlo Rufino.

The girls’ vacation began with a filling breakfast at the Cebu Yacht Club to help them get started on a busy yet fun day. After lunch, they then proceeded to the Regatta Store in SM Cebu City where they received fashion tips from Cebu’s top stylists Dexter Alazas and Yves Camuinge. Then it was off to the luxurious Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa where they had dinner at Tea of Spring restaurant before calling it a night.

Raring for more action, the girls made sure they were prepared for all the activities by enjoying a buffet of international breakfast dishes at the Tides. Then it was off for an enlightening garden tour, where the girls marveled at the resort’s 13-hectare grounds while learning about tropical flora and fauna.

Of course, a tour of the city was also in order and the girls prepared for it by wearing classy and comfy pieces from Regatta’s Traveluxe collection. In true Regatta fashion, the brand married travel and luxury in presenting a collection that is vibrant, sporty and fun. Crisp, fresh and relaxed, the collection consists of solid pique polos as well as colored polos and shorts that exude class and comfort.

Garbed in cool Regatta outfits, the girls went on a city tour where they visited the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, Magellan’s Cross and Fort San Pedro. Needless to say, the girls learned about Cebu’s rich culture and history looking all pretty and sassy.

“My usual get-up is shorts and t-shirt but when I do buy, I make sure I get good clothes. I always look for comfort and style and I find these in Regatta, which has always been one of my favorite brands,” says Katrina.

Naturally, a trip to Cebu won’t be complete without enjoying water activities. That’s why the girls enjoyed a kayak activity, which gave them a chance to paddle their way to toned arms, increased strength and dexterity while having a blast. For a more up-close look at Cebu’s enchanting marine life, the girls also enjoyed a snorkeling activity, where they got to visit Shangri-La Mactan’s Marine Sanctuary teeming with over 100 species of marine life.

Reluctantly, the girls had to say goodbye to Cebu but not without creating lots of fun memories that they will cherish forever.

“This trip was fantastic and we are thankful to Regatta for giving us this experience,” says Tessie.
