There's a perfect toy, from the first moments to the first steps

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Early Learning Centre (ELC) is very well-known for its concept of learning while playing. Their age categories and unique development expertise help customers choose carefully targeted toys that are right for your baby. Working closely with educational experts and nursery specialists, they create toys that help babies really enjoy playtime and encourage them to move on to the next exciting stage, from birth up to 18 months and onwards.

From Birth: Although newborns don’t appear to do much more than sleep and feed, they are actually taking in the world around them. ELC soft tactile fabrics in the Blossom Farm range help to stimulate baby’s senses. The Sit Me Up Cosy, one of their bestsellers, starts as a soft inflatable nest with a flower mat and soft toys. As your baby grows, you can convert it into a supportive prop to help them sit up safely with confidence, and the flower mat becomes a floor cushion. It comes with three toys, which crinkle, rattle or jiggle.

From THREE months: The little ones are starting to become active. They may wave their arms and legs and try to fit their head to a 45-degree angle when they are on their tummies. The Lights and Sounds Buggy will keep your baby happy and busy on the move with this activity-packed steering wheel and dashboard. Press the horn for a sound, enjoy indicator lights and turn the key for ignition sounds, perfect for baby’s stroller. ELC also has the Lights and Sounds Musical Buggy Bar with fantastic musical buggy bar with a light-up keyboard, drums, cymbals and fun lights and sounds. Also great for playing on the floor or in the highchair as your baby grows.

From six months: Your little one may be able to sit, with support or may try to lunge, roll or even crawl to get around. Parents shouldn’t worry if babies aren’t doing any of these things yet, as long as they show an interest in their surroundings they’ll learn to move around soon. With ELC Jungle Rock, Roll and Reflect, your baby can reach into the bag for the balls. As babies grow, they can use both hands to play with the balls and enjoy rocking the bag and they can enjoy exploring the mirror too! ELC Stacking Cups is a favorite, it has 10 classic stacking and nesting cups, which are great for playing with water and sand. With the Shape Sorting Bus, your baby can learn to push the six shaped blocks into a friendly push-along bus. The blocks have rattles, beads and other intriguing features.

From NINE months: Your baby is going through a very active stage of development and they’ll experiment with crawling, rolling, bottom shuffling and cruising. Make sure you remove small objects from their reach, this is the stage when they’ll put everything in their mouth. Their dexterity is improving and they may be able to pass a toy from one hand to the other. ELC Lights and Sounds Walker is another best-seller. The detachable activity ring has cogs to turn, pages to flick, keys to press and much more. When your baby is ready to try walking, the sturdy walker offers great support. It also folds flat for easier storage.

From 12 months: Whizz Around Garage is fantastic fun for little drivers. Your toddler can whizz cars down the ramps, push cars up and down in the lift to hear funny sounds, pull the petrol pump and air-hose levers to make the dials turn, and drive through the car wash. There are buttons for funny sounds, a barrier to lift and lots of sounds to enjoy. The Whizz Around Garage also comes with two cars.
