Iñigo Elizalde Rugs at W/17

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Iñigo Elizalde Rugs is a custom rug and textile design studio based in New York City that specializes in Nepalese hand-knotted rugs, intricate hand-tufted rugs, flat weaves and dhurries.

And now, it is in the Philippines.

Born in the Philippines, Iñigo Elizalde holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. He was art director for Rafe New York before starting his own line of bespoke rugs late in 2008.

His vibrant and unique designs have been featured in Vogue and Cover and are a testament to his philosophy of exploration, experimentation, and fine craftsmanship.

A voracious traveler, he takes inspiration from a myriad of places, spending much of his time photographing and exploring the urban and natural world around him and translating these images into contemporary hand-woven pieces that bring the beauty of the outside world into the home.

This month, Elizalde will be coming home to launch his collection here in Manila exclusively at W17, a purveyor of unique, stylish and sophisticated home pieces.

Each piece, whether customized to client specifications or an original creation by Elizalde himself, will surely be a delightful and treasured addition to your home.
