Chain of Custody: Past and future treasures

“Every piece in our store can be passed from one generation to the next,” said antique collector Cherrie Sarfati Araw. “Each piece is special and worth keeping, and you can pass it on to your kids and develop a chain of custody.”

Hence the name of Araw’s shop: Chain of Custody Arts & Antiquities. It’s simply astounding to see Tampinco pre-war plaster of Paris sculptures, vases and figurines from ancient China, Russian icons, jars, old prints, antique jewelry and pieces from Chain of Custody’s impressive Filipinana collection. There are even Charlie Co paintings in mixed media.

“For those who have just started their collection, we offer Chinaware,” she said. “Antique chairs and tables are also good to collect because not only do they appreciate in value but they are functional as well. You can make them the centerpieces of your home. The same with jars.”

In conclusion, Araw enthused, “It’s exciting to see people becoming more and more interested in the antiquities.”
