What makes a woman alluring?

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
How do you define that magic called "allure"? The answers differ among men: It could be a woman’s scintillating aura, the gentle toss of her hair, her carefree laughter, even the don’t-mess-with-me glare in her eyes.

We asked 13 young gentlemen of substance–who would make a good catch themselves–to find out what indeed is most alluring in a woman.

Juan Miguel Zubiri
Representative, Third District, Bukidnon

"I prefer mestizas. A woman must not be beautiful only in looks but also inside. First and foremost, she must be understanding and patient (what with my very busy schedule as a legislator). She must be also very affectionate and cariñosa."

Raymond Rufino
Real estate entrepreneur

"Spunk. It’s that special mix of attitude, style and personality. Their casual confidence and genuine spirit give them a unique appeal that is really attractive. In a world where everyone is chasing after the latest trend or gimmick, it’s always refreshing to find women who have a great time being themselves."

Victor Consunji
Civil engineer

" ‘Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned,’ so the saying goes. But the smile of the same woman can brighten even the gloomiest of days. This is the allure of a woman for me. The way her lips curl at the edges of her mouth at the beginning of a smile, and that flash of happiness in her eyes; it can melt away even the most stone cold stubborn emotions. This woman, you realize, is worth all the effort, because in that one instant, you have the chance to experience an emotion and joy that neither money nor power can ever bring, and it’s all communicated through the simplicity of an honest smile that’s meant only for me."

Bong Tirol
Boracay real estate tycoon

"The way she looks at me provocatively with smiling eyes. The way she walks is like a symphony. I cannot say no to any request when she gives me that charmingly innocent smile."

Robby Mananquil
Bench image model

"I think independent women are very sexy. A girl has to be driven by her dreams and values to really catch my attention. And if she has that … I’m toast!"

Richie Coronel Santos
Businessman/ jetski champion

"Intelligence, religious values, religiousness, inner and outer beauty and good culinary skills."

Archie Rodriguez
Restaurateur

"Intelligence and presence!"

Aldrich del Rosario
Law student/entrepreneur

"Her smile. The way she handles herself in good or bad situations and how she treats other people."

Butch Romero
Publisher

"What I find most alluring in a woman is her femininity. There’s nothing more irresistible than her distinct shape. The way a woman looks, moves, talks, smiles, it highlights the reason for my attraction. And a nice butt won’t hurt either. Ha-ha!"

Vince Hizon
Professional basketball player

"Curves, beautiful ankles, straight teeth, smell and long slender neck."

Yon Bilbao
Resort manager
Fairways & Bluewater, Boracay

"There are more than just an enticing smile and charming eyes that would attract me to a girl. Those qualities would be plus points, though. However, I would be more drawn towards a woman who knows how to carry herself well, who knows how to blend in and converse with people from different walks of life, one who could ‘walk with kings yet not lose the common touch,’ one who has a way with people, bringing out the best in others while giving also her best in everything that she does. I really admire women who show genuine concern for others and have a strong will and drive to achieve their own goals."

Paolo Prieto
Publisher

"Style!"

Steve Naguiat
PR director
Century Park Hotel

"There’s nothing about a woman that is half as alluring as intelligence and character. No physical characteristic can attract a man if her face is not animated with wit and discernment. She may be beautiful and have a great body but if her eyes do not twinkle with a lust for life, the attraction fades away."
