MANILA, Philippines — Congratulations are in order for actress Cristine Reyes and former National Youth Commission chairman Gio Tingson following their engagement.

Cristine shared the good news on Instagram with photos of her trip with Tingson in Hong Kong, some of which show the actress wearing a diamond ring.

"Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked," Cristine wrote in her caption, apt words given some of the pictures were at the end of a crossing along Hong Kong's Hollywood Road.

Among those who congratulated the couple were Anne Curtis, Carla Abellana, Iza Calzado, Jessy Mendiola, Alessandra de Rossi, Dominic Roque, Isabelle Daza, and Alex Gonzaga.

Cristine and Tingson have been dating since 2025, publicizing their relationship last July during a trip to Vietnam. The two were apparently grade school childhood sweethearts before reconnecting and rekindling their romance last year.

After chairing the National Youth Commission from 2014 to 2016, Tingson worked as a staff member for Senator Bam Aquino then chaired the Akbayan Citizen's Action Party.

The actress was previously married to mixed martial arts fighter Ali Khatibi with whom she has a daughter named Amarah. Cristine shared in early 2024 that her marriage with Khatibi had been annulled for over a year.
