Tournament of champions

MANILA, Philippines - From Jan. 4 to 7, the PGA Tour opens its next season in Kapalua, Hawaii for another edition of the PGA Tour Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

This year’s tournament will take place at the Kapalua Resort Plantation Course, with a total prize fund of $5.7M on the line.

Returning to defend his title is Dustin Johnson, who won last year’s contest by outlasting the rest of the competition with a score of 203, -16 to par.

Among those who will be gunning to dethrone Johnson include Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson, Bill Haas and Woody Austin.

With some of the best PGA stars in the world joining the contest, it will be interesting to see who comes out as the victor.

Catch Day 1 of the PGA tournament on Jan. 4 via satellite at 1 p.m. and Day 2, Jan. 5 live at 3:30 a.m.

Day 3 will also be televised on Solar Sports on Jan. 6 live at 4 a.m. and Day 4 on Jan. 7, 5 a.m.
