Super Junior in PULP's May issue

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It’s been almost two months since that fateful night of April 10, when Korean super-group Super Junior invaded Manila and caused major Pinoy “fan-demonium” as they performed at the Araneta Coliseum for one night only in front of thousands and thousands of rabid fans. Yet the cheers, tears and screams can still echo in the hearts of their loyal Filipino fans who can’t get enough of the multi-membered, multi-talented collective of singers and dancers who gave us a taste of their own via the hit singles like Sorry, Sorry, Super Girl and Don’t Don, among many others.

And PULP Magazine was there to chronicle the experience that was The Super Junior: Super Show 2 Live in Manila, from the very beginning (including preparations made a week before the actual event) to every single day that followed up to the day after the show; a feat that could have only been pulled by not just PULP Live Productions, but by the love and loyalty of die-hard, true-to-the-bone Filipino fans. Read first-hand about the experiences ranging from the Ali Mall ticket-release event held weeks prior to the show, to adventures of the PULP staff taking care of the group’s crew and working out lodging details up to the massive stage, sound and lights setup preparations of the local crew.

And most importantly, read on as Super Junior fans themselves send in their testimonies, photos, reactions and other personal contributions to celebrate the magic of the music and the people behind this Super Experience, as fans can now keep a part of Super Junior with them, while others can share in the experience and learn just what makes a group and its music “super.”

But that’s not all. The May issue of PULP’s flip-cover features Sandwich, one of the country’s most successfully commercial rock bands. Led by former Eraserheads drummer Raimund Marasigan, the quintet is back in the kitchen cooking up their latest sonic masterpiece that’ll surely be full of hit singles and arena-rock choruses. PULP music editor Jason Caballa (incidentally Marasigan’s band mate in Pedicab) asks the questions and writes the story about the band everyone wants to be associated with.

The rest is still filled-to-the-brim with latest news and features about the country’s upcoming talents, hottest gigs, the most credible music reviews and thought-provoking music columns from the top personalities in the music industry.

PULP’s May Special Super Junior Collector’s Issue is available exclusively through Astrovision and Astro Plus stores nationwide for only P250.
