Summer 2014: Who got you hot and bothered?
MANILA, Philippines - Summer vacation is almost over and some of us might have picked up a few things along the way: a rocking tan line, a sparkling new addition to our resumes, or even a budding romance. But for those of us who have failed in the quest of finding a legitimate summer fling, we can always turn to pop culture for our fix of imaginary love affairs. This week, we asked a couple of kids as to who rocked their summer 2014. — MAINE MANALANSAN
Ellen Page. Apart from being in the Days of Future Past, which was a pretty awesome movie, she is sexy, stylish and has a great sense of humor. Plus, she came out this summer. And I’m gay. So it all works out! — Sarah Buendia, 22

He’s grown into his looks over the past year (mmm, that beard!) so at least I don’t have to feel like a total creep for having heart eyes for him. Daenerys Targaryen. Who wouldn’t have a crush on The Mother of Dragons? She’s the mother of three freaking dragons. There’s literally nothing hotter than waking up naked in a pyre unharmed. If that’s not enough, wait for her to talk some sexy Valyrian. — Koji Arboleda, 22
Levi from Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl, because he’s not the typical heartthrob. He probably got me with the way he talks and acts towards Cath, his love interest. Although armed with swoon — worthy good looks, I’m still more of a sucker for his coffee scent (he works in Starbucks!) and gentleman gestures. — Abbey Sy, 21

Ansel Elgort is my summer babe, because how could you not like Ansel Elgort?? Aside from his handsome face, I love it how he’s so passionate with his craft, he’s not only an actor but he is also a musician. I’ve watched some of his interviews and he’s also got a good sense of humor and his answers were well thought of and funny.
