Cool runnings

The cool kids were out and about at the Yard Sale at Embassy Fly early this week.

On the menu: one-of-a-kind sneaks, silk-screened tees, graffiti-embossed journals and every other accoutrement necessary to the hipster lifestyle.

DIY style was the order of the day as kids just barely out of high school (OK, I exaggerate, make that college) hawked their statement wares. Fresh Manila (think Tokidoki and equally cute toys), Renegade Folk (colorful platform pumps), Team Manila (Pinoy pride apparel) and Make Love Not War (quirky clothing) were one of the few labels shilling their shizz.

I don’t know about you but this yard sale was way cooler than the ones I’ve been to in the past. Of course, the ones I’ve attended were full of derelict furniture and way-past-their-prime electronics (sorry, Mom). Expect another coming-together of cool labels in November.— BL
