Grilled cheese and games at the Planet Panic party

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Crazy things keep happening to Pam Pastor and she is left with no choice but to chronicle them. In Planet Panic, her second collection of stories published by Anvil Publishing, she writes about how Pong Pagong ended her shot at stardom, why her grandma burned all her trolls when she was in sixth grade, how she terrorized her brother on Facebook, why she became a flower girl at 31, how a New York socialite almost kidnapped her and why taxi drivers think she’s the white lady of Balete Drive.

She also has tales about dead rabbits, Potato Corner, thirty bras, hospitals, a missing terrarium, New Kids on the Block, beer, and balikbayan boxes. Fun for the whole family.

Join Pam on Nov.  7, 5 p.m., at National Book Store Glorietta 1 for the launch of Planet Panic. It will be a party as crazy and as fun as her book—with a lot of carbs, games and a fat Frenchie who might just end up signing your copy.

Planet Panic is available at National Book Store and Powerbooks branches nationwide.
