BlackBerry Q10 launched at a ‘Supreme’ Thursday Throwdown

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - BlackBerry recently celebrated the arrival of the new BlackBerry Q10 smartphone, the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone to feature a classic BlackBerry qwerty keyboard, by co-presenting with Supreme the Thursday Throwdown Quiz Night at Aracama, Boni- facio Global City, Taguig. The weekly music quiz night hosted by DJ Euric drew celebrities and BlackBerry fans such as Solenn Heussaff, Erwan Heussaff, Tim Yap, Gerald Anderson, and Rayver Cruz.

For this special night, songs were played and participating teams were asked to name the song titles, artists, or both. Each team had a BlackBerry Q10 device, which they used to type and send in answers over BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and Twitter for BlackBerry. The various music-related challenges required competitors to have a keen ear, deep pop culture knowledge, and a fiercely competitive spirit. This enabled the attendees to experience the typing ease offered by the BlackBerry qwerty keyboard of the BlackBerry Q10.

Available in two colors, black and white, attention has been paid to every detail of the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone’s design, from its distinctive form to its ergonomic qwerty keyboard, which features a wider layout and larger sculpted keys. With the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone’s advanced hardware, communi- cations and multimedia features, along with long battery life, one can take action all day long.

Keep moving

The re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry 10 platform also offers a powerful and unique new mobile computing experience that continuously adapts to one’s needs. Every feature, every gesture, and every detail is designed to keep users moving. These include:

• The BlackBerry Hub, which brings all conversations together in one easy-to-manage place which one can access at any time from any app with a simple “peek,” so you’re always only one swipe away from what matters to you.

• BlackBerry Balance technology, which elegantly separates and secures work ap- plications and data from personal content, protecting what’s important to you and the business you work for.

• BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), which lets you

share things with the people that matter to you in an instant. BBM on BlackBerry 10 smartphones includes voice calling and video chat, and lets you share your screen with another BlackBerry 10 smartphone contact.

• BlackBerry Remember, which helps you tackle tasks quickly with a new way to collect, organize and access all the information sitting in different places across your smartphone.

Swap and switch

The new BlackBerry Q10 smartphone is now available in the Philippines. It is one of the BlackBerry smartphones that consumers can avail of as part of BlackBerry’s Swap and Switch nationwide campaign.

From June 28 to Sept. 1, consumers can go to any of the over 300 participating stores across the country to swap their working or non-working mobile phone and switch to a brand-new BlackBerry smartphone. For more details on the BlackBerry Q10 and this campaign, visit www.facebook.com/BlackBerryPH.
