The Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards Foundation recognized youth groups who traversed social gaps during the pandemic. These organizations mobilized their skills and resources to help communities in need.

MANILA, Philippines — At a time when everybody needs hope and inspiration to move forward from various challenges that this year posed on each Filipino, 853 youth groups went beyond their homes towards communities to help sow a promise of something better.

Through relief operations, online webinars, art and poetry support groups, young Filipinos made ways to make 2020 to be a year still worth celebrating. 2020 is a year when bayanihan shone through.

From 853 entries the TAYO Awards Foundation along with various field experts filtered the projects to the top ten accomplished youth organizations. They embody how simple projects done well could not only help people in time of need, but also inspire many more to join the cause.

This year’s Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) are the following:

  1. The EstrawngHeroes from TIgbauan, Iloilo
  2. Federation of the Deaf Cavite Province from Kawit, Cavite
  3. AHA! Learning Center from Makati City
  4. #MentalHealthPH from Quezon City
  5. Supreme Student Government Action Force from Cotabato City, Maguindanao
  6. Super Readers Squad from Angeles, Pampanga
  7. Millennials PH from Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental
  8. GoodGov PH from Quezon City
  9. 3H Initiative – Humans Helping Humans from Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro, and,
  10. Mga Tala at Tula from Candaba, Pampanga

These TAYO Awardees will be given a P50,000 cash grant from search co-presenters Coca Cola Foundation Philippines and San Miguel Corp., and a trophy by Toym De Leon Imao (as seen in picture).

The 10 national finalists will also receive a trophy and a P20,000 cash grant courtesy of the co-presenters.

Special Awards and citations were also given to the following national finalists:

  • SK Federation of Baybay City, Leyte: TAYO SK Community Service Award, special citation for Agriculture
  • SK Brgy San Isidro, Buenavista, Guimaras: TAYO SK Community Service Award special citation for education
  • SK Sta Monica, Lubao, Pampanga: TAYO SK Community Service Award Grand Winner
  • Supreme Student Government Action Force: TAYO Videos Sprint People’s Choice Award Grand Winner
  • Andam HIgala: Georgina P. Nava Women in Leadership Award from the family of late NYC Commissioner Georgina Nava
  • Bayanihan para sa Magsasaka: Kilos Ko Youth Award from the Office of Senator Francis Pangilinan
  • Order of Asclepius:San Miguel Better World Award from San Miguel Corporation, and
  • Red Cross Youth Negros Occidental: Coke Barkada Award from Coca Cola Foundation Philippines

The 18th Search for Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations is the first purely online Search done by the TAYO Awards Foundation. The search received a record-breaking number of entries from all over the country.

Co-Presented by Coca Cola Foundation Philippines and San Miguel Corporation, with its Official Media Partner Prime Insignia, the Search lives on to celebrate the dynamism of the Filipino youth.
