Jesse Jane, Lux spice up Sole Slam 2014

MANILA, Philippines -- Sneaker connoisseurs will roll with their latest kicks and rarest retros while the hottest chics are set to spice up this year's Sole Slam on Sunday.

Already in its fourth year, Sole Slam 2014 easily becomes the biggest sneaker convention yet in the country moving in to a bigger venue at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

With the huge turnout in the past three years, Sole Slam think tank Antonio Aguirre, Jr. decided to move it to a bigger venue to accommodate another expected sellout crowd. Previous Sole Slam venues One Esplanade and Ronac Art Center were all jampacked.

"This year, we are featuring another first of many, a legit adult star to grace a big event like ours in Jesse Jane. Plus we are having international cover model Lux. We'll also have the 2K14 Tournament with Project Collab plus the South Side Beer Pong Tournament Championships," Aguirre told Philstar.com.

Jane was named as one of the 12 most popular adult stars by CNBC in 2011 while Lux is a successful commercial model born to parents of Filipino and Irish descent.

This year's edition of the pioneering sneaker convention in the country promises to be a fusion of sneakers, streetwear, music and art that will revolutionize the local pop culture.

"All that and more fun activities including the much awaited DXC Sneaker Battle Championships," added Aguirre, who is one of the most popular sneaker collectors in the country and owner of the Sole Slam Concept Stores in Paranaque and Katipunan.

There will be a total of 100 booths selling/trading sneakers, apparel and accessories. Non-stop music will be provided by top local DJs Jade Hartman, Marc Marasigan, 2013 DJ of the Year (DoTY) Ron Poe and 2014 DoTY Ace Ramos with MC Paolo and DXC Las Vegas' Anton Guerrero hosting the event.

All early bird tickets have already been soldout while door charges on Sunday will be Php500 for regular entrance, Php800 for early VIP and Php1,800 for All Access.
