Taking shots at the Philippine Fashion week

-

MANILA, Philippines –  Sony Cyber-shot partnered with Philippine Fashion Week in the Philippine Fashion Week last Oct. 26-30 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

The collaboration saw imaginative mavens holding up the Sony Cyber-shot as muses for inspiration, as they present the stylish new Cyber-shot TX9 and T99 cameras while taking the cue from the global tech brand’s design sensibilities.

“It is Sony’s great pleasure to support Philippine Fashion Week as it presents the execution of creative visions for Spring-Summer 2011. With our make.believe brand message, our company is a great supporter of pursuing the possibilities opened by imagination, and transforming these into tangible reality,” said Takao Kuroda, managing director and president, Sony Philippines. “As a company, we value innovation in pursuit of excellence in both function and form. Consumers will be happy to see this principle wonderfully embodied by the latest models of Cyber-shot.”

With its slim structure, classy colors, and technology ahead of its time, the Sony Cyber-shot is the fashionista’s companion to the hottest engagements around the metro. But beyond simply capturing the stylish set, the Sony Cyber-shot proves it can set new standards for it.

Two of the Sony’s most recent digital imaging products, Cyber-shot TX9 and T99, became the inspirations for Philippine Fashion Week’s Luxe Wear Collection, helping fuel the artistry of talents such as Edwin Uy, Jaki Penalosa, John Guarnes, Jontie Martinez, Julius Tarog, Kat Corpus, Maricar Kobayashi, Melvin Lachica, Nolie Vineza, Richard Papa, Roel Rosal, Roland Lirio, and Tina Daniac.

At the helm of avant-garde, Cyber-shot TX9 is the world’s first digital still camera that captures panoramic photos in 3D. Designed for ease of use, its unique 3D Sweep Panorama function allows users to simply sweep the camera in a horizontal or vertical direction to capture impressive, ultra-wide panorama shots in 3D, for viewing on any compatible 3D LCD TV. Meanwhile, the Cyber-shot DSC-T99 stands as a specimen of beauty, with smooth curves fashioned on a sleek aluminum frame. Luxuriously designed, the camera is available in five chic colors to complement the individual style of its users. Photographers can choose from a brushed finish of black or silver, or the satin matte finish in pink, green or violet.

Given all these capabilities, it is only right that beyond presenting the Cyber-shot as a source of inspiration, Sony also concretely demonstrates their unique propositions. After capturing the day’s mise-en-scene in Sweep Panorama, the digital still cameras will be hooked up to elegant BRAVIA LCD TVs for viewing at the Cyber-shot viewing lounges. As 3D images will be included in the mix, how photography captures fashion — its swirl of colors, negotiation of structure, and valuation of texture — is brought into the fore.

“Sony is known for its innovative technologies that bring new and great offerings to the table. With that, we mean pushing the boundaries in digital photography with our new Cyber-shot Series,” added Kuroda. “Not only do our new cameras catch the attention of many with their beautifully-designed exterior, they also allow everyone, including amateur photographers, to easily and effortlessly capture realistic and vivid photos. With just one click of the Cyber-shot TX9, get stunning panoramic photos in 3D. Videos in HD can also be shot, a big plus for any digital camera.”
