Frederick Peralta makes gowns for the free-spirited bride

Chonx Tibajia - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The modern bridal gown is an exercise in restraint — a reflection of the designer’s understanding of the female form and desires. Volume sprouts on the sleeves or in the form of a multi-tiered skirt, but elsewhere, it is sleek and made to flatter. Frederick Peralta, who recently celebrated his 30 years in the industry, sent thirty bridal gowns down the aisle at the Marriott Grand Ballroom as part of Marry Me at Marriott, a grand bridal show that brought together fashion designers, celebrities, soon-to-wed couples, industry partners and wedding suppliers in a gathering of fashion and a sampling of the hotel’s 13-course lauriat menu by the culinary team of executive chef Law Wui Wing, who will be opening his signature Chinese restaurant Man Ho at Marriott Manila in 2016.

The event was a special preview of the Marriott Grand Ballroom, envisioned to be the grandest wedding destination in Manila set to open in March 2015. The venue is designed to especially host weddings, with its own wedding chapel, bridal suits with private gardens, photo venues and private entrances. The unveiling of which was made even more exciting with designer Frederick Peralta’s 30 masterpieces presented on the Grand Ballroom runway. Music was courtesy of Mark Mabasa and friends, Bernie Pasamba Orcherstra, ballet dance performances, Airdance and Primo Opera.

All these elements combined presents Marriott Manila as the wedding venue for couples who prefer a stress-free wedding in the city, accessible to friends and family but no less luxurious or memorable.

General manger, Mr. Bruce Winton said, “We are raising the bar high here in the Philippines and we couldn’t have chosen a better partner to launch this than Frederick Peralta, who also in his own right has made a mark in his own field.”
