Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012 opens May 22

MANILA, Philippines - Now in its 15th year, Philippine Fashion Week once again sets the stage for Filipino design talent as they present Holiday 2012’s hottest trends and looks from May 22 to 27 at the SMX Convention Center and the SM Mall of Asia.

There are 79 designers, eight brands, and 20 shows to watch this season.

Chris Diaz unveils his rich and opulent holiday 2012 offering on May 25 at 10 p.m., while Jerome Salaya Ang’s latest collection takes the runway on May 27 at 10 p.m.

Lizanne Cua showcases her Greek mythology-inspired repertoire and Sassa Jimenez creatively merges fashion and function with a fascinating post-apocalyptic anthology, both to be revealed on May 26 at 10 p.m.

At the Premiere B show on May 24 at 10 p.m., Albert Andrada’s head-turning pieces, Butz Fuentes’ coveted couture creations, Bandoix Flores’ well-edited style statements, and Ezra Santos’ masterpieces take center stage.

It’s Arnold Galang, Jun Jun Cambe, M Barretto, Dimple Lim, Jeffrey Rogador, Odelon Simpao, Roland Lirio, and Xernan Orticio on May 23; Avel Bacudio and Eric delos Santos on May 25; and Chris Jasler, Melchor Guinto, Philipp Tampus, Veejay Floresca, and Yvonne Quisumbing on May 26.

The Luxewear show on May 26 features the works of Anthony Ramirez, Aztec Barba, Dax Bayani, Julius Tarog, Mark Tamayo, Melvin Lachica, Nolie Viñeza, Pablo Cabahug, Popoy Barba, Richard Papa, Tina Daniac, Vania Romoff, Lyle Ibañez, Melvin Lachica, and Roel Rosal. Grand Allure also takes the spotlight on the same day, showcasing the offerings of Boyet Dysangco, Cherry Veric, Gil Macaibay, June Pugat, Luis delos Santos, Mitzi Bustos, Popo Go, Edgar San Diego, and Fanny Serrano.

On May 27, Design Fusion presents Bo Parcon and Enrico Carado, and Visions & Trends sets the stage for Happy Andrada, Oz Go, Regine Dulay, and Russell Villafuerte. Also, Ready-to-Wear rocks the runway with the season’s most-loved trends as interpreted by Dave Ocampo, Emi Alexander Englis, John Guarnes, and Jian Lasala.

Finally, the country’s hottest brands will show their key looks for the season: The Ramp Crossings, SM Ladies, Avon, Jag, Oxygen, Penshoppe, Unica Hija, and Bench.
