A nostalgic fashion celebration

Foremost bridal designer Malu Veloso recently celebrated her 47th year in the fashion industry and her birthday in a special show called Nostalgia at The Podium. Guests were treated to cocktails courtesy of Raymond Joseph of Ralph’s Wines and the Podium’s Roma Mia restaurant. The fabulous event was a refreshing change from the usual fashion show because instead of professional models, Malu asked her longtime clientele to model a variety of designs accentuated with Hoseki masterpieces created by multi-awarded jewelry designer Faico. Soft, feminine and wearable clothes good for any kind of figure were the featured designs — including children’s clothes in pink and blue that made Malu’s initial trademark as a designer. Guests of honor were Carol Sy, Susan Roces and architect Chito Antonio. Other guests included Dr. Sylvia Jamora, Maryanne Nicolas, Arlu Gomez, Felix Amparo, lawyer Nelson Santos and the alabaster-skinned beauty Linda Ley. The event was sponsored by the Podium, Hoseki Jewelry, Ralph’s Wines and Roma Mia.
