SWS: 76% of Filipinos satisfied with Duterte administration

MANILA, Philippines — More Filipinos expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Duterte administration, according to the fourth quarter survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The poll, which was conducted from Dec. 16 to 19 last year and released last night, found 76 percent of adult Filipinos satisfied with the work of the administration while nine percent said otherwise with a net satisfaction rating of +66.

This was a 16-point increase from the very good +50 (65 percent satisfied, 15 percent dissatisfied) in September last year.

The remaining 15 percent were “neither satisfied nor dissatisfied” with the government.

The administration’s net satisfaction rating in Mindanao rose from very good +67 in September 2018 to excellent +75 in December 2018.

It went up by 21 point to very good +63 in the Visayas from good +42.

In Metro Manila, it increased by 20 points from good +40 to very good +60.

It also rose from good to very good in balance Luzon, up by 17 points from +48 to +65.

Net satisfaction with the administration rose by two grades from good to excellent in class ABC, up by 25 points from +47 in September 2018 to +72 in December 2018.

It also increased by two grades from good to excellent in class E, from +49 to +70.

It went up 15 points but stayed very good in class D or the masa from +50 in September to +65 in December.

The survey used face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults, 18 years old and above, nationwide.
