GMA cuts nose in minor mishap

A minor accident at Malacañang yesterday afternoon resulted in President Arroyo sustaining a cut over the bridge of her nose, where her eyeglasses rest.

The President told STAR photographer Revoli Cortez that a drawer of the family cabinet accidentally fell on her head, causing the cut on her nose.

The minor mishap delayed the President’s arrival at the Sun Power plant at the Laguna Techno Park in the town of Biñan.

Cortez noticed the cut on the President’s nose while she was donning a laboratory gown for the plant tour.

She said the accident was not serious enough to prevent her from carrying on with her daily duties. — Marichu Villanueva
