Hori7ons first winter wonderland in Seoul
After its stint at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), the Pinoy pop pride Hori7on is back in Seoul, South Korea, and resumes rehearsing and practicing its performances. Members Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus are away from their families and friends for the holidays. They are amused to experience ‘the cold season’ for the first time and won’t mind homesickness, as 2024 has some big rewards.

Like an OG international boy group, the Pinoy pop pride Hori7on jetted back to Seoul, South Korea right after the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) to continue rehearsing and practicing its expertise in performing. Solidifying the brand further, the group members Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus are spending the holidays away from family.

Jeromy said they won’t mind homesickness this year as 2024 has some big rewards.

“Sadly, ngayon holidays, we can’t go back to the Philippines, pero Hori7on naman is like family. Yes, we’re family!”

Vinci added they’re also amused because it is the first time that they’re experiencing the cold season. “Nag-yelo na nga po ang mga sinampay namin! Hahaha,” he said.

We spoke to the boys via Zoom as they also prepare for bigger things in the coming year.

Their most recent impactful stint was at the Asia Artist Awards where they walked the red carpet and had collabs with P-Pop kings SB19 and Seventeen-BSS.

Vinci told us that it was a dream come true to have finally rubbed elbows with equally talented artists. “With Seventeen-BSS, it was from management to management, but we’re happy we got to record a TikTok video with them.”

With SB19, on the other hand, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing that they had on their wish list since they began as a group.

“Mga three months ago pa dapat yung collab at doon lang kami sa AAA because of so much schedule. Finally, it was in the second part of the program when we had a 20-minute break that it happened,” Vinci added.

During the AAA, Hori7on’s talent did not go unnoticed, as they also bagged the AAA Focus Award.

By the way, the group had something to point out regarding the production brouhaha that happened during AAA’s maiden ceremony in the Philippines. The group hopes that fans can be more understanding since it was an hours-long program and it was the first for the country.

Vinci shared, “That was a whole time frame. Anything could happen. I am just glad no one got hurt.”

This year, Hori7on also had big achievements. Let’s take a look back.

Earlier this year, we were talking about how the P-pop group stood out from the crowd and it seemed that they were being noticed not just in the Philippines. Proving their musical competence, they secured the third trophy in 2023, thanks to the title track Six7een. The group is now even dubbed as a rising global rookie sensation.

According to their agency MLD Entertainment, Hori7on showing up at the 2023 11th Korean Wave Awards Ceremony, held last Dec. 20 at the Baekbeom Kim Goo Memorial Hall, was a big moment for the group.

Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Racer, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus were honored as the winner of the Foreign Rising Star category at the popular culture awards.

The group shared, “It is truly an honor to receive this award. Our efforts feel even more worth it,” adding, “We will grow as a group with music and refreshing charm that anyone can relate to.”

Hori7on had previously received the Global Artist of the Year award at the PPOP Awards 2023 in the country.

In January next year, Hori7on will be busy doing preparations. The group will have the very first comeback that, you know, they are all preparing for intensely.

“Non-stop po trainings namin. May bago po kaming ipapakita next year na dapat abangan. We are working so hard to offer something new,” concluded Marcus.
