Maine Mendoza apologizes to Julie Ann Jose over fan bashing

MANILA, Philippines – All's well that ends well.

Maine Mendoza apologized to singer Julie Ann San Jose at the dressing room of GMA-7 noontime variety show "Sunday PinaSaya."

The "Eat Bulaga" mainstay appeared on "Sunday PinaSaya" as a guest and was featured in a segment with show co-show Alden Richards earlier this afternoon.

According to Nitz Miralles, showbiz columnist of tabloid Pilipino Star Ngayon, Maine said sorry to Julie Ann over the bashing she received from fans who took offense to an alleged tweet by Rich Illustre, director of "Sunday PinaSaya," saying that the singer is Alden's girlfriend.

Alden denied this claim during the press conference of the movie "My Bebe Love" on Thursday, saying he is single.

"Sunday PinaSaya" co-host Gladys Guevarra said on Twitter that she saw Maine hugging Julie Ann.
