Green Lantern now on Blu-ray, DVD

MANILA, Philippines - In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight… take the oath to serve and protect as Green Lantern is now on Blu-ray (one-disc version), Blu-ray 2D/3D Combo, two-disc DVD and VCD in video stores nationwide from Warner Home Entertainment Group.

Starring Ryan Reynolds in the title role, DC Comics’ legendary superhero soars to the edges of space, where a war has been raging between those who rule with fear and those who protect life: the Green Lantern Corps.

Featured on the Blu-ray 3D combo pack and the Blu-ray combo pack is an extended cut of the film featuring new scenes not seen in theaters.

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, an elite, powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. Warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him the ability to create anything his mind can imagine. But then a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Reynolds).

Directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale), Green Lantern  also stars Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins. Also featured are the voice talents of Geoffrey Rush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
