What keeps Christian busy

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Christian Bautista has invaded the Southeast Asian region with his songs, but this doesn’t stop him from aiming to conquer more territories to represent the artistry of Filipino performer. This commitment is admired by Ink-All-You-Can, which has chosen to renew their partnership with the singer. Ink-All-You-Can (www.ink.com.ph) which has branches in SM Malls offers up to 96 percent savings on printer inks.

“I am very glad that my endeavors are being supported by brands like Ink-All-You-Can,” says Christian. “It inspires me to continue to hone my craft, and to dream bigger dreams.”

The second half of the year will make Christian busy with two international projects.

This month, Christian will fly to Singapore for four months to shoot the first Pan-Asian musical series The Kitchen Musical, which will be aired in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and across 17 other countries. Christian will play chef Daniel opposite fellow STAGES talent Karylle’s Chef Madeline. It is a musical series that boasts of combining the exciting elements of a cooking show, a drama series, and a musical.

“This is a landmark project for me,” says Christian. “I am terrified and excited with everything that I have to do for the musical, but I am glad that I am with Karylle on this project.”

The Kitchen Musical will premiere in October worldwide.

Aside from the TV musical series, Christian’s first full-length international movie A Special Symphony, shot, produced and directed by Indonesians, will premiere on Aug. 3 in cinemas nationwide.

A Special Symphony follows the story of Jayden, an aspiring Filipino singer who was forced to go to Indonesia, only to find himself discovering the true essence of his existence.

“It is a heartwarming story of a teacher and his students with special needs,” recounts Christian. “The movie has a lot of heart.”

Christian also recently shot the music video of Love Moves in Mysterious Ways, carrier single of Kris Aquino’s latest release under Universal Records, My Heart’s Journey.

The single’s music video was shot recently at EDSA Shangri-La Manila. This is the first time that the hotel has agreed for a project to be shot there.

The music video was presented by EDSA Shangri-La, Wine Story, IL Mercante Di Venezia and Luxe by Goldilocks Bakeshop.
