2023 labor updates and compliance

MANILA, Philippines — Did you know? 80 out of 100 employers lose their labor cases in the Philippines due to violation of labor standards and improper documentation. The Center for Global Best Practices is hosting a three-hour webinar entitled, Labor Law 2023 Updates and Compliance to be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. via Zoom.

This SEC and MCLE-accredited program is to update participants on all the recent labor laws, regulations and rulings that will be very useful in making important decisions with employees. The lecture will cover all the 2022 DOLE regulations and labor-related decisions of the Supreme Court. Knowledge of these will help companies improve their employee policies and practices, labor compliance and minimize as well as take winning positions in labor disputes.

Learn from lawyer Paul Ungos Jr. who has been a labor practitioner for 48 years to various private organizations and law firms. He is also the author of several labor law-related books such as The Law on Labor Standards, The Law on Labor Relations, The Fundamentals of Labor Law Review, Pre-Week Handbook on Labor Law, Practical Aspects of Labor Law, Agrarian Law and Social Legislation. He also served as the vice-president for litigation and labor at Globe Telecom and as senior labor counsel at Philippine Airlines. Currently, he teaches labor law at the San Beda College – Alabang and De La Salle Lipa, and is a consultant and labor counsel at Globe Telecom.
