The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-bullstag derby gets under way today with 90 fights on tap at Pasay City Cockpit.

The event, backed by Sagupaan Complexor 3000, serves as the second leg of the three-stage circuit, according to LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.

Meanwhile, derby action resumes on Thursday for the Group 2 participants while the 4-bullstag finals will be held on March 24.

In last month’s opening leg, which drew 102 entries, five emerged co-champions, including Philip Chiongbian (Viva Wild), Peping Cojuangco (CAT), Borgy Zoleta (Top of the Line), Aaron Cacho (AC Bolinao) and Mel Lim (JMW Fighter).

For the third leg on April 7, LGBA will present the Northerners vs Southerners 5-bullstag derby.

Up next at Pasay Cockpit is the Arbel Sa Pasay 5-cock derby on March 17 with Arnold dela Cruz (AEJ Farms) and Beltran Soligen as co-hosts.
