Gonzales wins fifth straight golf title

JR Gonzales kept his winning ways by ruling boys Class E for the fifth straight time and again with plenty to spare in the sixth leg of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines summer circuit at the Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas.

Gonzales, who had missed only one leg but still won that week in Baguio, topped his division by a whopping 23 strokes as his toughest rivals decided to skip the tourney supported by Taylor Made Adidas.

Koreans dominated Class A with Lee Seong Ki winning by five strokes while Carl Santos Ocampo prevailed by three strokes over Rhiz de Roca in boys Class B.

The other winners were Christein Briones in girls Class A, Erlain Lumanog in girls Class B, Mikee Camitoc in boys Class C, Kat Briones in girls Class C and Christina Potenciano in girls Class E.
