Island girl: Max Collins recalls living in Boracay
MANILA, Philippines — Celebrities like Anne Curtis and Max Collins undoubtedly have their own picks when it comes to seasonal fashion, and the two gorgeous women shared their picks for their fans to take inspiration from.
Synonymous to her fun and sometimes quirky personality, Anne's favorite bag is a fruity one.
Anne was among the celebrities spotted at the Loewe store in Greenbelt 3, dressed as the goddess herself, a reference to her TV character, "Dyosa."
Looking like a Greek goddess with her hair in high ponytail and a Grecian-inspired gown, Anne indulged a few minutes of casual chat with Philstar.com.
"Everything is a favorite piece of mine because that's what Loewe is known for — for having fun and creative pieces. So it really depends on what your personality is like the most.
"Each piece is creative, it's fun. It's actually perfect for the summer. The fruit bags are a particular piece that I love," shared the "It's Showtime" host.
The other equally gorgeous actress, Max, picked a more utilitarian type of bag.
Currently seen as Venus in the nightly fantasy family drama "My Guardian Alien," Max said she has to take into consideration her other important role in life — a mother to a young boy.
Thus, she likes her bags to be bigger that can carry a lot of items inside it.
"Well, because I'm a mom, I kinda like big bags. I like bucket bags just because marami akong nailalagay sa loob, and you know, as mothers, we're always girl scouts, we always carry things to bring around with us. So, that's why I prefer medyo big na bags," she shared.
But being the island girl she was and always has been as a Boracay native before she entered showbiz, she is still drawn to island vibe and colors in her fashion choices.
Max grew up in Boracay and even attended school there before she became an actress.
"I love the newest collection. They've got very Ibiza feels, very summer. I love the beach, and everyone knows I love the beach," Max said.
Spanish luxury house Loewe launched its Paula's Ibiza 2024 collection that features signature basketry with woven raffia on its bags as well as leather bags and accessories.
"There's a lot of fun, color and it reminds me of my hometown, Boracay. Just looking at all the pastels and the vibrant colors, transports me to the beach. So, that's what I love about this newest collection," Max shared.
