Mövenpick supports PAL Cebu to Osaka and Nagoya flights

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu forged a partnership to further promote tourism in Cebu and provide excellent service to tourists.

The partnership commenced with PAL’s inauguration of new flights from Cebu to Osaka and Nagoya, Japan in response to the public’s clamor for more routes to Japan.

PAL and Mövenpick Mactan Island is an ideal and fitting collaboration to boost tourism and the economy in Cebu. 

The alliance kicked off last Dec. 19 and 20 with Mövenpick participating and extending its service to the passengers of PAL’s maiden flights from Cebu to Osaka and Nagoya. The hotel provided the passengers with refreshments before boarding. An array of sushi, fruit and chocolate muffins, cheesecakes and chilled juices were served. Completing the experience in style was the serving of award-winning bubbly of Manny O. to the passengers and VIPs at the inauguration rites.

The event was attended by the Consul of Japan in Cebu Shoji Otake; Department of Tourism regional director Rowena Montecillo; PAL Senior AVP for Philippine sales Harry Inoferio; PAL head of Cebu salesChristopher Lebumfacil, as well as Lapu-Lapu City tourism head Hembler Mendoza, Mövenpick GM Knuth Kiefer and Richard Miller of the Manny O. Group. 

PAL operates four weekly flights (Mondays/Thursdays/ Fridays/ Sundays) between Cebu and Osaka on PR 410 and three weekly flights (Tuesdays/ Wednesdays/ Sundays) between Cebu and Nagoya on PR 480. Both flights have a total of 199 passenger capacity.

Capping off the celebration was a water cannon salute to the maiden flights.
