Transfor-mania with Dad at Toy Kingdom

MANILA, Philippines – Toy Kingdom, the amazing toy superstore, treated fans of all ages to the Philippine toy launch of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen recently at the SM Megamall Event Center.

Held in cooperation with Cybertron Philippines, the event bridged generations of toy lovers, as dads who grew up loving these toys and their kids participated in this activity.

Transformer toys from Takara and Hasbro first captured the hearts and minds of kids in the 1980s. Somehow there’s a timeless appeal about transforming toys from robot to vehicle mode, and 20 years later, the Transformers continue to excite their followers with the highly anticipated Transformers The Movie 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

The Toy Launch showcased the latest toys inspired by the movie, and fans of all ages lined up to be one of the first to bring home the much-awaited Optimus Prime, the Fallen, Sideswipe, and Starscream collectibles. Dads were eager to add to their collection, while kids looked forward to role playing with a Bumblebee voice mixer or an Allspark blaster.

The event also included an exhibit featuring collections of rare Transformer toys, as well as dioramas of climactic scenes from the 2007 Transformers movie. Fans also got a chance to have their photos taken with lifesized Autobots and Decepticons, as well as to participate in exciting games and activities. These included the thrilling Toy Vault and Wheel of Awesome, as well as What’s My Name and Wordformers contests and a Trivia Tournament.

The fun continues at Toy Kingdom as shoppers get a free poster with a minimum single receipt purchase of any Transformers item until June 30. What’s more, fans can get a chance to win an Optimus Prime Movie Leader worth P2,999.75 by simply registering at the Toy Kimgdom website at www.toykingdom.ph until June 27.

Transformers The Movie 2 Revenge of the Fallen toys are available at Toy Kingdom Express outlets at all SM Department Stores and at Toy Kingdom stores located at SM Makati, The Podium, V-Mall, SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM City Fairview, The Block at SM City North-EDSA, and the SM Mall of Asia. In the provincial areas, these are located at the SM Supermalls in Pampanga, Lucena, Marilao, Baguio, Bacoor, and Batangas in Luzon, and Cebu, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and Davao in the Vismin area.
