MANILA, Philippines — When it comes to choosing a home, it’s not enough that residents feel safe and secure. Another factor that’s being highly considered by homeowners today is the kind of “environment” it provides.

This is something that SMDC, one of the country’s leading real estate developers, has mastered and continued to improve on over the years.

From choosing ideal locations that will provide utmost convenience and security to its residents, SMDC also makes sure that the structures they build truly feel like a home—a home that its residents would love coming back to.

It is where their needs are conveniently met, from the available commercial tenants found at the ground level, to facilities for recreation, and various events that encourage its residents to meet, mingle and develop good relations.

SMDC Happynings

This is the idea behind its latest campaign, “SMDC Happynings,” a series of events especially for its residents to have fun.

SMDC Happynings was held at Blue Residences on Katipunan, another popular location not just among families but also with students and young professionals. It offers easy access to some of the premier educational institutions in the country such as Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines, Miriam College as well as various commercial hubs such as SM City Marikina and SM Megamall. Even Katipunan itself is a well-known destination for unique and charming restos.

Aptly called, “Beyond the Blue,” SMDC Happynings was a whole day event filled with an assortment of games, which delighted guests.

Games included at the event were Minute to Win It which featured mini games like Pasta All the Way, Flip and Shoot, Yank Me, and Egg Relay. There was also giant Jenga, Jackstone, Snakes and Ladders and a Water Slide. Two of the biggest games of the day were Trivia Night and Breakout Blue. Residents were also treated to a great musical performance by Danielle Idea.

Open to residents of SMDC Blue and their guests, everyone had a great time meeting fellow Blue residents and participating in the games.

There were also a variety of food options from Oishi, Krispy Kreme, Kopi Roti, Frostville Ice Candy, Bagnet Rice Patong and Aling Nene’s Barbecue, which set up shop at the Food Area.

All in all, it was a day filled with fun, laughter and kindling new and old friendships among Blue residents, exactly what SMDC hoped its Happynings series would achieve.

More than just building homes and developing nurturing communities, SMDC through its Happynings events are able to provide its residents quality entertainment and recreation that can be enjoyed by every member of the family.
