Disneyland opens ‘Frozen’ suites: Price, features, promos, freebies
HONG KONG — Do you want to build a snowman?
Whether you are a “Frozen” fan or not, the newly opened “Frozen Suites – Royal Edition” in Hong Kong Disneyland allows one to build a snowman in their own rooms and more!
Unveiled to the global media, including Philstar.com, in time for the grand opening of the world’s first and only “Frozen-“ themed park in Hong Kong Disneyland, the “Frozen” Suites boast of a spacious floor area, which according to Hong Kong standards, is a “luxury” since land in Hong Kong is considered as among the world’s most expensive.
Recommended for those who want a complete 360-degree “Frozen” experience from the film to the theme park, the suites aim to bring the kingdom of Arendelle right into your very room.
The suites, which mark the 10th anniversary of one of Disney’s most successful blockbusters of all time, open electronically using a “Frozen-“ themed keycard. Immediately, a small play area for little Annas and Elsas welcome guests on the right, complete with movie-branded board games and toys, including a toddler-size Olaf with stackable body parts.
A figure of Olaf again welcomes guests by the left side, where guests can brew their own coffee or tea and relax in a coach patterned after Kristoff’s sleigh in the film. The living area connects to the bedroom, where two family beds – one dedicated to Anna, another, to Elsa – invites guests to a restful slumber.
The bedroom leads to a roomy bathroom with a bathtub, movie-inspired toiletries and quirky décor. Both the living room and the bedroom have doors opening to an Instagram-worthy view of the hotel’s amenities, including its majestic architecture, a well-manicured lawn and maze, and an expansive swimming pool that seemingly extends to Hong Kong Lantau Island’s seas.
Pegged at HK$ 10,039 (approximately over P70,000) per night, a stay in the suite includes perks such an afternoon tea, a welcome gift set, “A Summer Snow Day Treasure Hunt” game, Premier Access when “World of Frozen” opens to the public in November 20; and priority reservation for face painting and hair styling inside the theme park. A 12-month interest-free instalment is offered for payments made with Visa or Mastercard credit cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (HK) Limited. — Video by Deni Bernardo, editing by Deni Bernardo and Anjilica Andaya
