Krispy Kreme now serving cronuts!

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Krispy Kreme is now offering its own version of the famous cronut, Krispy Krouissant.

"Half-croissant, half-doughnut, and fully-baked, Krispy Kreme’s latest product innovation, dubbed Krispy Kroissant, is made to take your cronut experience up a notch," declared Krispy Kreme.

Krisy Kreme said its version of the cronut has the same distinct characteristic of its famous donuts.

"Unlike the more popular fried version, Krispy Kroissant melts in the mouth with layers crisp like a croissant’s, and surprises the taste buds with aromas attributed to fresh doughnuts."

The latest addition to Krispy Kreme's collection of baked products comes in four flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla Cream.

“Krispy Kroissant goes beyond the hype of the pastry mash-up. It is a testament to how Krispy Kreme has that art of providing confectionary indulgence down pat, and we are thrilled to hand the first taste to the Filipino market,” said Jim Fuentebella, Chairman of Krispy Kreme Philippines.

“Our dedication is anchored on satisfying doughnut and coffee enthusiasts across the globe, hence, we continue to evolve Krispy Kreme’s offerings the same way the palates of patrons do," notes Mark Susz, director of Global Product Innovation.

Krispy Kreme entered the Philippine market in 2006 and it has been growing since.

Aside from its all-time favorite Original Glazed, it is also offering flavors that suit the Filipino taste buds including from HALAL-certified offerings in Davao.
