Michelle Dee slays the runway during Miss Universe 2023 swimsuit competition
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine bet Michelle Dee stunned the crowd during the Miss Universe 2023 swimsuit preliminary competition earlier today in El Salvador.
Hosted by Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the 84 contestants walked the runway in their chosen swimsuit.
The candidates wore the shoes designed by Jojo Bragais, who has been chosen as the official footwear for the competition.
The host described Michelle as a candidate advocating for autism while the Philippine bet was strutting the runway.
"Growing up with two siblings on the autism spectrum inspired Michelle to work closely with advocacy groups," the host said.
"This 28-year-old award-winning actress has set up a foundation that aims to provide opportunities to those on the spectrum," she added.
Earlier, Michelle said she's happy with her performance during the closed-door interview.
In her Instagram account, Michelle posted the pink Mark Bumgarner outfit she wore during her interview.
"Closed door interview: finito," Michelle wrote.
"Overall happy with how everything went! Glad that I was able to highlight the most important aspects about my individuality and I pray it was well received and understood by the judges," she added.
