A first for Filipinas

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
"Do all things with love." Og Mandino

Filipinos shone at the recent Zonta International Convention when the first Asian and the very first Filipina was installed as the organization’s new president. Olivia Ferry of the Zonta Club of Makati & Environs will preside over the affairs of Zonta International, a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. The convention at the Melbourne Exhibition Center drew tens of thousands of Zonta members around the world.

Congratulations to Olivia and the rest of the Filipino Zontians!
You should be dancing with Bee Gees’ Songs Live!
Are you stuck in the boring rut of routine? Are you longing for some good music to shake you out of your lethargic and humdrum life? Stop moping around – you should be dancing! And along comes the perfect time to get up and dance – Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees is coming to Manila this November. Groove to the disco classics and immortal ballads like You Should Be Dancing, Stayin’ Alive, Jive Talkin’, More Than a Woman, How Deep Is Your Love and To Love Somebody, songs that have made the Bee Gees one of the quintessential 20th century music acts.

Robin will be performing with the band along with a live orchestra for a smashing performance that will leave Manila gasping for more! It’s a rare, scintillating musical treat for old fans and new fans alike. The concert comes to Manila on Nov. 25, Saturday, 8 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum. Tickets are available at SM Ticketnet Outlets or call 374-2222, 374-9999 and 911-5555.
