4 Sinos in P840-M drug haul arraigned

- Cezar Ramirez, Eva De Leon -

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan - Four Chinese men linked to the smuggling of 420 kilos of shabu worth about P840 million seized in this province last year pleaded not guilty to the charges yesterday.

The shabu haul is considered the biggest in the country's campaign against prohibited drugs.

The arraignment of suspects Si Lan San, Yum Wai Hung, Ng Sin Ming and Fung Ku San in the Burgos regional trial court took sometime because they had no lawyer and interpreter.

The Supreme Court has yet to act on the request of prosecutors to transfer the case to Manila.
