Love is hopeless! (now that Nicholas Sparks is divorced)

MANILA, Philippines – Fans may have lost their faith in love after Nicholas Sparks, the romanticist author with best selling novels like The Notebook and Dear John, announced that he and wife Cathy are divorcing.

Nicholas Sparks has penned 17 romantic novels, mostly inspired by her wife. But after 25 years of marriage, the couple finally called it quits.

"This is, of course, not a decision we've made lightly. We remain close friends with deep respect for each other and love for our children. For our children's sake, we regard this as a private matter.,” he told People magazine  in an exclusive interview.

Fans of course are in complete disbelief that the king of romantic novels is not getting the beautiful fairy tale ending. Most of them took to Twitter declaring that love is dead now that even the person with most passionate perspective with love did not make romance last.
